Gwynneth is the oldest of 9 kids. Once she was old enough, she set out to work on Market Street. In the day, she works in a weapons shop, sweeping, dealing with customers, etc. She is paid little, but it's a lot to her poor family. She often eats lunch at the docks, watching the ships load and unload, from whatever grand adventure she imagines they just returned from or will be heading out to next. Still, she's a hard worker, and the shopkeeper has taken a liking to Gwyn and often gives her things (a piece of meat, extra loaf of bread, a bolt of cloth) he 'was growing to throw away anyway'. Eventually, he started teaching her basic sword fighting skills and gave her a sword of her own. After all, she lives in a rough part of town. By night, she loves to prowl the less savory parts of town, looking for adventure beyond her "oldest daughter of a poor laborer" life. She has built a reputation as a spunky kid who can take care of herself, and who makes a surprisingly useful member of a mission party. She hopes to one day leave the daily grind behind, perhaps to sail off on one of the great ships she sees in the harbor.
