of Gwyneth’s sword. Roland tells them that he doesn’t think working with them is in anyone’s best interest.
Roland leaves and send messages to Melina and the Admiralty to notify him. The ladies note the effects
Nadine, Gwyneth’s sword. The ladies are fans of Gwyneth “AO rating for violence, blood and gore” They
suggest that Gwyneth follow Levinia’s suggestion to disguise herself as the Hobnail leader. The witches know
everything that our party has accomplished. They throw Hughe under the bus for his failure to Turn of Banish
the vampire that we fought in Phyla house. They tell us that Ms Miller is usually in her room in the Opium
Dens in the basement of the Mooncalf. They think that Vesper couldn’t handle what he did to his brother
Christopher. They ask about the Globster and the people it affected. They mention a lady named Patience, at
the Hospital, an Alienist (Psychiatrist). They say they are here to aid us in realizing our own destinies. They
suggest blowing up the vampires referencing the drain dust explosion, killing the vampires, Temple of Night
and the Sanctuary (for the Goddess Vali, Goddess of Night, Patron of a female warlock in town Altair). Vali is
an enemy of Sigrid, the Sun, a God worship by the Barbarians. Altair can be found by a foreigner in town,
Vitani. The ladies leave.

Marian questions Velvet. Downey spoke to Ms Miller about the banquet bill. Fight broke out between
Helmholz, Parja, Woodhouse and Herschel vs Downey, Vincent and Ms Miller. In the fight Downey,
Helmholz, Parja, Woodhouse and Herschel died. Velvet concurs that Ms Miller is likely in her room in the
Opium Dens in the basement of the Mooncalf. Velvet still offering her services in getting men. Marina lets
Velvet go. Velvet says the other Butchers (two, in the Scullery) took the other three bodies downstairs.
Vincent talks with Roland. Roland suggests that Vincent might want to take a vacation. We take the stair down
to the Scullery. 10 or 15 people here. Meat Locker room, 2 butchers. We enter the room, Marian tells them to
drop their weapons or die. They cutting up bodies. They refuse to surrender. We attack. They are defeated.
Helmholz, Woodhouse and Hershel are being butchered. Other room down here is the pipe tobacco storeroom.
We head down the other stairs to the Opium den. It’s full of opium addicts. Northernmost door leads to a deck
of a ship. Cancer Blossom is there on the ship. He says he hasn’t seen Ms Miller. SE thru arc of rooms. SE
door leads to a room that an egg shaped room. Naval officers with a little motion. They haven’t seen Ms Miller
(don’t know her) as they are on a ship that hasn’t been to Hollin in quite a while. Southern Door. Door opens
onto a cloud. There is a lady there, smoking, on a cloud. We join her on her cloud. She welcomes us.
Gwyneth talks to her about her conversation with Velvet. Ms Miller floats our cloud up to her. Ms Miller
offers her opium pipe to Gwyneth and she accepts. We chat, she mentions the Tontine. We discuss the murders
at the Mooncalf. She states that she is under no Hollin authority at the Mooncalf. She says the Mooncalf
predates all other Hollin establishments. Roland declines her opium pipe. Boone and Marina decline the pipe.
She says Downey was working on a new method for coking coal (which the Admiralty opposes) , investigating
the grain silo explosion and a new formula for gunpowder (which doesn’t use bat guano (using a chemical
located on the Cotton estate)(which opposed by Phyla House). She thanks us for getting rid of Lolani. She says
that Downey’s house is an interesting place. Roland suggests to Gwyneth that she might want to take over Ms
Miller’s place in control of the Mooncalf. Gwyneth decides to seize her destiny and attacks Ms Miller. The
party joins in. 2 Butchers, Velvet and Vincent arrive dressed as cherubs (figments of her opium dreams). Ms
Miller sprays Geoffraie with a blue “perfume” mister (DC 15 WIS save), he makes the save. The mister is the
same as sold by the Hollin Apothecary. Velvet uses a blue mister. Vincent stabs Roland. Roland hits Ms
Miller with the Bat’s Head Rapier and it’s nightmare power makes Ms Millers’ dream world dingy, trashy,
unkempt, sooty clouds. Marina gets the KO on Ms Miller with an arrow through the heart. The dream turns
red. We’re in the opium den room. Ms Miller is dead on the floor. We verify that she is dead and we search
her.
